How does it work?
The DriveQfy system can automatically tracking a car in the driver qualify test in an complex environment with blocks and other motion objects such as persons. The DriveQfy system consists of a software package and a 4-channel video capture card. The first channel can be used to input the video signal from the testing scene while the 2nd channel can be used to take pictures of the driver. The output of the DriveQfy system is the trajectories of the testing vehicle with time stamps and with the staying time at each points of the detected trajectories. These data will be used by the host project program to automatically score the driving skill of the driver.
The main challenge of the algorithm is to keep the tracking trajectories of a test vehicle as smooth as possible while keep its size can chance 10 times during the test drive and the white wide beams can block as large as 2/3 of the vehicle body when the car driving towards the far end. By using Physical Linguistic Vision Technologies, this problem can be solved by using very few overhead of computing power. Another challenge is to measure the staying time at each point where the vehicle is not supposed to stop. The snapshots of the real system are shown as follows.
The First Case. In this figure, the curves denote the traces of the car while the
color of the curves denote the moving directions of the car. The
sizes of the white circles at the bottom portion of the left
column represent staying time of the vehicle if the it was
detected to stopped within the pink region.
The Second Case. This figure shows a tracking process in progress.

Real Installations
The following three images show a real-life installation of DriveQfy software. Observe that the software can work under low contrast system settings well.
